About The Tax Ladyy

My Mission

 I am a Mobile tax specialist, bookkeeper and administrative Assistant with over 16 years of experience in the Canadian tax industry. I started my own service-based business in 2023 after realizing that it was time to change the way Canadians looked at income tax return filings. 

I will forever be grateful for everything I learned through my previous employer, but my vision no longer aligned with theirs, so I decided to make the change before it was too late.  

Tax filing obligations are a MUST DO for Canadians, but they have this stigma around them as "SCARY", and I want to attack that with each client I work with.  

I have been trained and have lived in the world of tax all year round for most of my career, and I LOVE IT. It's an investigational puzzle to create with my client’s assistance and a way to share knowledge. 

I love being able to explain savings or share tips with clients or help them obtain monies they thought were lost or didn't know existed. It's exciting.

Taxes are not something most family discuss when we are raising them, so I am here for the whole family. 

I have long realized that too many Canadians need help with the task of preparing their income tax returns; at their own pace, with my knowledge, but at a budget friendly cost. 

So many people have tax anxiety or do not know where to begin when it comes to preparing their returns. 

I want to change the stigma around income tax by personalizing the services I provide and providing access to electronic filing. 

I am prepared to meet my clients how they wish to meet; in their home, where they may be more relaxed; or for coffee, where we can chat casually in social setting or I even invite them into my home, where we sit in my living area or office, as I would with friends and family. 

My goal is to remove the "stuffy office cubicle" feel from my client interactions as this is way too personal of a task to feel uncomfortable while discussing it.

Filing with a T2202 - Statement of Tuition fees and Enrollment in the year; (Part-time and full-time attendance) plus Typical situations 

Employment only + Provincial - T1

Filing with a T2202 - Statement of Tuition fees and Enrollment in the year; (Part-time and full-time attendance) plus any Typical situation and Simple Business type income and expenses

Intermediate T1 Situations

$163.72/return +HST ($185)

Includes but NOT limited to situations with the following

  • Pre-calculated Clergy residence deduction, 
  • Simple Moving expense claims 
  • TL2 meals deductions (prepared only)
  • Capital Gains & Losses not Reported on Tax Slips: Covers first 10 transactions; after 10 ADD+ $2.50/additional transaction

Advanced T1 Situations

$300/ return + HST

Includes situations with 

  • T2125 Statement of Business Activities -- all figures provided, no compilation services

Compilations services: $35/hour with a $50 discount off prep fee

Covers preparation of 1st statement only

Additional Statements: $75/ statement over 1


Corporate T2 Returns

Starting @ $775/ return +HST

Fully prepared Financial Statements provided to prepare and file a Corporate Return Electronically

Preparation of financial statements at bookkeeping rates $35/hour


GST/HST RETURN

Starting at $50/return +HST

Electronic Submission of consumer (HST)tax return with pre-calculated figures

Calculation of HST collected and ITC's will require further time charges at bookkeeping rates; $35/hour

Catch-up discount available if filing more than 3 years at same time.

THE TAX LADYY is responsible for collecting personal information to provide you with the services that you request or require. This information can take the form of your name, address, social insurance number, and other contact information, in addition to your tax and financial information and your e-mail address. We may also collect information pertaining to billing and payment purposes, including credit or debit card information (card number and expiration date).


THE TAX LADYY will collect personal information limited to only what is necessary to fulfill the requested service or product such as preparing and completing your income tax return or income statements.


THE TAX LADYY does not disclose information to third parties except as described in this policy or as permitted or required by law.


THE TAX LADYY will protect personal information by security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. We restrict internal physical and electronic access to personal information to those employees who need to access it in order to serve you. For both internal and external parties, access controls include programs and specifications for physical security, records retention and disposal, computer and communication security measures reflected in system design, password protection, data management practices, and other measures to restrict access to the information we hold in physical and electronic forms.


THE TAX LADYY only retains personal information only for as long as necessary or required for the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. Personal information that is no longer required will be destroyed, erased or made anonymous.


THE TAX LADYY is responsible for personal information in its possession or control, and will take reasonable steps to protect personal information that has been transferred to a third party in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Cancellation Policy

 

Effective February 1st, 2025:

Please note that once you have booked an appointment, I understand time is valuable to both my business and my clients. If you must cancel our appointment, out of respect for our time, I am requesting minimum 12 hour notice. Missed appointments or appointments cancelled without notice, will incur a fee of $35. Please send notification by email to allison.thetaxladyy@gmail.com.
Exceptions will be considered for emergency situations and extreme weather on a case by case basis.
